I love the old 'always be able to stop in the distance you can see' chestnut.
There's a difference between being sensible with your speed, backing off a little when approaching a blind corner on an nsl road from 60mph to say, 45 or 50mph, but lets be honest, who on earth actually abides with that fully, you'd be slowing down to 15mph all the time, its nonsense and all you argumentative gits know it.

Is JL3.0 now a 2.0 four banger?
Let's hope not, the one bang had enough consequence.
If there's opinion out there that Harris is a wanker for having this crash (DM/mumsnet), that would make him both Monkey and organ grinder.

Yeah, saw that. Surprising really. Didn't think there was that much damage.

Is it because the value of the salvage is sufficiently high that there's an incentive for the insurance company to write it off, pay him list price of a new one and make a profit?

Probably that. Looking at the pics I really don't see how it's a 'normal' write off.

Airbags make a bit of a mess of the dash, so it's probably a whole new dashboard, but it does seem crazy on the face of it.

TG to buy the salvage and have it as one of it's studio display cars?
