Scott, you must be gutted at the impracticality of the Alpine. I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands for £5 and a bag of Revels. Deal yeah?

But the point wasn't total space, it was why Porsche & Ferrari are able to make the front boot full depth whereas the Alpine isn't.

Still hard to fathom how Porsche can fit a boot three times the depth in a Cayman yet not possible for the Alpine. Looks like they just tried to make it a regular shape/depth at the expense of size. Although actually - the pictures on this thread suggest it is more useful than it looks:

The Alpine is 20cm shorter than a cayman though - its hardly surprising that everything is packed in tighter.
