I liked Matt, I thought he was just starting to get properly settled into it in the last series.

Harry is great for car nerds like us but couldn't see the BBC picking him in a million years.

Yeah, hence my Jodie Kidd suggestion. Car nut, ex-racer, bigger name than someone like Rebecca Jackson.

I don’t rate Kidd’s presenting style though, when she was in that Classic Car Show on Five.

Henry C and replacing Rory with Jethro could be great, but obviously too car-focused for the BBC. Jenson would probably be an interesting choice, with enough star quality to keep up the ratings.

Of course, they may just can the show for a while...

While Henry and Harry would be bloody brilliant, they're not really high profile enough outside of the automotive world.

I suspect the BBC will want someone who is already famous, as well as a car enthusiast. Unfortunately that means that we may well end up with someone from Rich's list.

Though they did hire Kate Humble to host TG, when it was in the doldrums, and she admitted that she had no interest in cars!

tbh - after MLB, I wouldn’t actually be surprised with some of them.
