Believe this or not, I was at a party back in November and a very pretty early 20s girl asked my wife if she was my date as she wanted to say hi.

Clearly some girls like overweight and hairy as apposed to smooth and shiny 😂

Dave!

No women over 35 is interested in him as, in the most part, they're looking for more than just a relationship. so that rules out any set-ups of friends of friends, work colleagues etc.

His choice is to date younger or be alone. He dates younger.
That's not true though is it Dinny, there are plenty of women who don't want kids or find someone his own age who already has older kids.

He chooses to date younger. Which is fine, just don't try and make a social justification for it

About 3 weeks ago I was being chatted up by a (scarily sexually liberated) 19 year old student nurse. Her mate had heard my mates Irish accent walking past and was from the same town so they joined us randomly in the pub.

Anyway, about 45 minutes later - my mates chatting the Irish one and I'm still chatting to her mate, she was telling me about how many girls she'd slept with, showing me her nipple piercing, then photos of her topless, then videos on her phone of her being fucked doggystyle.... 😲

She was hot, but clearly the 24 year age difference and the fact I'm married kept any real temptation away. I expect it's a bit different comparing some horny student in a pub in Guildford to a famous socialite in LA/monaco/etc - but the age difference was pretty huge (though funnily enough, we didn't discuss cassette tapes Beany.)

...anyway, I'm heading back to that pub again tonight, and the next night, and the next if anyone's looking for me.

The stereotype about nursing students holds true

I'm pretty sure the first girl I pulled in a club as a tender 17 year old was a nursing student.

It's completely true Zed. In his experience, the proportion of Single Women, say in there 40's who have never had children and don't want to have children and are looking for relationships, is relatively small when compared to the total number of single women, say over 25.

So yeah, to an extent, he chooses to date younger women but as I said, the choice is between that and being alone, waiting for the "white whale" of a women who matches his requirements and, more importantly, would want to go out with him.

I suppose the difference between him and DiCaprio, he would go out with a women his age - he's just not waiting around for her.

I obviously don't know your friend but not finding interesting women his own age sounds more like an excuse than a reason

You could be right Zed - I mean he splits his his time between London and Dublin so we only catch up in person a couple of times a year.

He had a couple of longer relationships in his 30's and early 40's with women who "didn't want Children"... until they did. I think that's what led to is current way of life. I don't think he wants to be wasting anyone's time. A 25-30 year old changing her mind and wanting a family still has plenty of time. A 40 year + person is on borrowed time.

Anyway, he's happy enough with his lot. He seems to have very little trouble picking up dates, he lives really well and prides himself on chivalry and old school "gentleman" behaviour. I'd guess his partners are treated very well.

However, he has said in the past that when he gets too old he'll just switch to Escorts...

Could do with an up to date version - his girlfriend in 2024 is (you guessed it) 25 but turns 26 on 7 June 2024. Only two and a half weeks away!
Big news - Di Caprio's girlfriend turns 26 today. This is a record for him, I think - never has he been out with anyone so old. Assuming he didn't dump her last night and the gossip columns have yet to report.

Maybe he’s finally settling down with someone half his own age.

If you fucked it up once and the council said it sorted it out, surely you’d make sure it never happened again, brain fog or not.

I hate articles like that where it’s all boohoo, but it’s just someone finding out that actions have consequences

Although, I can't get my head round there being a waiting list of 500+ due to its proximity to the station. In my head, if there is say on average one space outside each property, surely each property should have an entitlement to one permit first before anyone else gets a look in.

Probably large buildings divided into flats with multiple people living at each property, who then sub-let a parking space to people who live outside of town and commute into London. Also there are often areas with no parking bays outside properties.

Either way, these systems normally have some kind of auto-renewal process to opt-out of too. My local council even has a monthly rolling subscription so I just pay £11 a month via DD until cancelled.

Yep, her street is four-storey houses probably all divided into 4 x 2 bed flats
