She is very understanding. I've not even told her yet. It'll be a nice surprise when it turns up next week.

Also, Steve can have a car meet all by himself now!… cunning plan to avoid seeing people??
That has pretty much crossed my mind but in a slightly different context. I don't talk about cars with my work colleagues, they're civil servants and I'm a contractor, it could very easily come across badly. In your line of work I imagine Ferraris are rather more common ! Anyway, I've not had the right opportunity to use it, but I have imagined this conversation happening on a Monday morning:

Colleague: Hi Steve, did you have a good weekend ?

Steve: Yeah, not bad, I drove a Porsche, an Aston Martin and a Ferrari.

Colleague: Wow, was that one of those driving experience days ?

Steve: No.

She doesn’t know… :? Put a (very) nice bunch of flowers on the bonnet and say “happy anniversary darling” as it delivered?

Number of Ferraris is inversely proportional to number of divorces, so not many pilots get them! 😁

So.. just a Lamborghini to go and you’ve got the full set! LM002 for towing duties!? 😅

A Ferrari, and Aston, a Porsche and he's incredibly brave*.

What a catch, she should be grateful to have done so well!

It's grey ;) - Grigio Titanio. The other one I posted was silver - Argento Nurburgring. Gotta be precise with these things !!
 I gave up when it wasn’t a sliver 360 and didn’t even guess.

I remember chatting to you ages ago at a track day and saying I wanted a 360. I am pleased to say that I walk the walk on these things, even if it takes me a few years to get around to it ! I'll have to swing by some time and take you out for a spin.

Nice!

I had a quick search of 360 running costs...pleasantly suprised, cheaper than expected given most parts are usually on a 500% Ferrari tax. You've a penchant for DIY to keep the cost down too.

Also consider that £40k is now electric Corsa money....and that will probably depreciate more than the 360 will cost to run.

In short, anticipated TCO of a Ferrari is cheaper than a Corsa 8-)

PS - congrats.

Love the colour - any non-Rosso Fezza is a good colour choice in my book.

Wheel is awful :? . Seats are really nice. 8-)

Your Ferrari is cheaper than the asking price of that golf

I lose track of new car prices and as the article mentions - probably most people do when it's financed and presented as "only <xxx> per month".

So, a brand new Golf with full manufacturer warranty, or a 23 year old high mileage Ferrari from a mildly sketchy dealer. That's a neat little definition of risk appetite right there !

I know I keep banging on about it, but it's very important - what are Lambos like for cabin space ? I do quite fancy a Gallardo (same ethos as the Continental - VAG grubby bits wearing a posh frock). I suspect they're a bit small though and I've never had the opportunity to try one.

Living your best life! Stupendously awesome, congrats.

Many years ago when I was contracting within the Civil Service someone saw me turn up to work in my Boxster S, and it went about as well as you'd imagine.

I drove a Diablo SV once. Experience day so I was in a helmet, but even my head was cranked over uncomfortably. You'd need them to have expanded the interiors of the Murcielago and Aventador a lot to fit.

They're actually pretty simple cars underneath, very DIYable for most things. Lots of info out there. This site in particular is a goldmine: www.aldousvoice.com

For parts, there's a lot from the Fiat parts bin. Maserati parts are cheaper than Ferrari... it's relative...
