JINC :o

Lack of an eponymous interior is disappointing, but understandable when you'll get this one so quickly.

j I c wrt sunroof. They're a leakage liability and remove headroom. Although I doubt it's the headroom that Jobbo has issues with ;)

And the Jobbo interior is a thing of the past unfortunately.

For sure if you don't have one it can't leak, but it isn't something that'd concern me unduly about having one, likewise headroom; if I fit I fit, if I don't I don't. Of course, if buying second hand you check you fit ok and the roof isn't leaky, like you would with a daily cabrio ;)

I'm sure Audi Individual do something suitably Jobbo, not at the deal offered or by the end of the month though :)

The alloys look better on the new car over the old definitely.

Audi offer red or grey leather interiors and I’d probably have soccer either over black if I’d chosen. But black is fine; definitely easier to look after.

As for a sunroof; they leak and they stop working as they age, they make the car colder in winter and hotter in summer, they add weight where you least want it and add wind noise. When I get it the car at 6.30am on a December morning to drive 70 miles they are the bottom of the list of things I want. Headroom - nah 😂

But I do see the appeal of a glass roof for airiness which is why we’ve specced one on the Macan.

You go away for two days and you miss al the excitement! The A6 Avant is a great looking car and I will be avoiding pan roofs as that is what ultimately condemned my Merc. £60k odd car shafted because Merc save a few pennies changing cogs for plastic! :(

I think in the black on black interior, like the E class i had, the glass roof did make the rear a nicer place to be though.

How much power does it muster then? The new 35tdi 45tsi badging on Audi means little to me, I am guessing 340ish?

clik. Your guess was out by approx 0.7bhp. Must try harder.

Mrs mik's E-Tron is a launch edition, so has the vast majority of options included - including an opening pano roof. It's nice if you are in the back seats, but whilst you benefit from the extra ambient light, you don't really see the glass roof from the front seats. The blind confused us a few times before we realised that it closes automatically if you set the car to warm up in the morning on a timer - which is logical, but also smart. Car spent a full day with Audi last year so they could sort a rattle over the nearside rear seat (warranty obvs).

Yeah, I'm sure the quoted power was 351PS when they launched but it seems to be 344PS/341bhp/253kW. Thus beating my previous most powerful car, also an Audi S6, by 1bhp  Bit more torques though, and I'm not sure if they actually put out more than the quoted figure when rolling-roaded.

My previous Allroad had the same engine as my current one, but it pre-dated the diesel emissions cheating fuss so I suspect had a different factory map to the current one. Or it might just have been because it was a lease car and I drove it like one, but it definitely felt more powerful than the current car - the 272 was reputed to put out nearer 300bhp at the time but I think the current one is much more like the factory figure. I think I'll notice a 25% increase in power.

My opportunity to be like a car Youtuber, pulling the sheet off. I told the sales chap not to bother videoing it

Very happy with it. I met the dealer principal who had ordered it for his use, so I thanked him for the spec choice and said sorry for buying it so he didn't get to have it

Nice. 8-)

I can confirm that those alloys are a buggar to clean - recommend you get some Gtechniq C5 wheel armour onto them.

Yes, I liked that - they have a sliding door to the collection area too so showroom visitors don't go and put their sticky fingers over the cars being collected. Unlike Porsche Tewkesbury where I actually got into a Cayenne which was being polished for collection before I realised

Wheel colour(s) look good - although yeah, bitch to clean by the looks of it....plentiful supply of Bilt Hamber for your cleaner needed.

WTF is it about these car revels. Just leave it in the car park, give me the keys and let me get on with it. Social media has a lot to answer for.

Why is there a giant telephone on the wall?
