Frankie Boyle is an interesting one, the Louis Theroux podcast with him is definitely worth a listen.

Personally I don't agree with the censorship of comedians, and I get concerned when politicians start trying to decide what is acceptable or not to be broadcast as comedy. Quite happy for the people to vote with their feet however, if it's wrong then public opinion will do the rest for them.

Frankie Boyle just isn't very funny when he hasn't got the mock the week format to hold him roughly in line. His own shows are just dull and seem to consist solely of jokes about prescription drugs.

But that's the beauty of comedy shows, everyone's taste is different and no one is forcing it on anyone. There's a nice off button you can use at any point.

Out kids generation look at Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle in the same light as we looked at Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning 20 years ago. And in 20 years time, their kids will look on Mae Martin or Trevor Noah in the same light

This is why there can never be "a line"
