This is pretty impressive. Much much more consistent than his team mates.

The BBC F1 site has a quiz about halfway down THIS PAGE CLICKY. All you have to do is name the 20 drivers who were in the last French Grand Prix in 2008. I got 9.

Looks like Kimi could be out of a race seat next year

I hope he’s faster than Vettel - can’t imagine that going down well!

In the Thursday press conference he actually laughed and smiled, I don't think I've ever seen him laugh. I thinks he's relaxed now and happy to be leaving.

Ok, and if Leclerc beats Pointy I think Pointy will flounce.

Has everyone got their c.v’s in order to apply for the Mercedes strategist job?

Bet you he’s happy the car died due to a fuel pressure issue!

I hope the rest of the team gets to swear and shout at Hamilton when he fvcks up all their hard work too...

I'm very much enjoying the season so far though, it's been full of surprises.

Looking forward to another full-coverage race weekend from Silverstone now...

You expect a championship leading F1 driver not to get upset about things during a race that he's just lost through not fault of his own? Wind your neck in  If it were James Hunt, he'd have pulled into the pits and twatted the guy and everyone would have been cheering him on.

Whenever LH does fuck up, usually his first words in the interview are apologising to the team.

And the first thing that guy did was get on the radio and apologise to Lewis...

Lewis didn't shout and swear AT anyone. He didn't shout at all, from what I heard. He just expressed his exasperation, which we all do. This is just typical anti-Hamilton bullshit. I wonder what reason people have for disliking him so intensely?

Young, rich and successful - what's not to hate?

You'd have thought Mercedes would know by now that if there's a safety car anywhere near a pit window you dive in for new boots.

Yep that must be the third time this year they’ve been caught out by that...

I was having that very rant whilst Red Bull were successfully double stacking their cars with no time impediment. Head of Strategy NEEDS shouting and swearing at ;)

As I said last time this happened (China?) - surely their simulation software has a big red flashing warning to pit in this situation that someone chose to override.

I wonder what would happen if the next time the race is yellow flagged, Lewis says “I’m coming in, get ready”. Reckon they’d probably do the quickest pit time with the extra adrenaline! 😁

It shouldn't even need that. It was in the pit window, it's well understood that pit stops under VSC or SC are hugely advantageous, it should've been an automatic reaction, like it was for RB and Fez.
