Sport+
Manual gears
Pull for 2nd
Release brake
Mash throttle
It has launch control but it's shit - this is a much quicker and more exciting way to emergency start from some lights.![]()
Re: New car
Launch control crashes only happen in Mustangs don’t they

How about not having a sig at all?

Can we have a pick from the other side please?
Just to make sure it's the same...

Re: New car
A bit premature here, but I should be picking this (minus white decals) up tomorrow afternoon. There will probably be no snap as I’ve never posted an image here...

Re: New car
I've had the M140i for nearly a month now (time flies!) and have some initial impressions...
- I really like it
- it _does_ feel special all the time (that lovely, creamy engine)
- the ride is firm (more so than the Merc) and yet it doesn't crash/bounce over drain covers etc as much as the Merc
- even though it is firm, I find the ride acceptable - firm, not brittle/jaring
- it has plenty of poke (by far the most powerful car I've owned - daft to think it has roughly twice the power of my 306 Rallye)
- just a light press on the throttle results in acceleration
- I've not gone berserk yet, but when you nail it, it's properly quick
- it feels quick old school after the Merc (no hold/stop/start on the brake, no remote boot release etc)
- but the screens/dials/tech feels much more advanced
- I'm still convinced that physical controls (rather than touchscreens etc) are better
- on mostly motorway/A roads, a tank lasted about 360 miles (it's about £60 to fill with Shell's super unleaded stuff)
- I'm doing the sums for Birds suspension and diff package
- and looking at an MMI interface that gives wireless Apple Car Play (for my wife) and Android Auto (for me)
- I can see this being a really nice ownership experience
