No F1 thread?

Another howler from Sulayem

Rubbish.
We’re on that countdown with our older dog (our rescue) - she’s been diagnosed with Lymphoma.
Trying to enjoy the time she has remaining, juggling that overwhelming desire to ensure she doesn’t suffer unnecessarily, whilst adamant that we don’t rob her of time she could still enjoy.

That sucks, mik
An utterly unenviable situation, best wishes (which doesn't sound right but ykwim).

That's sad to hear. Hopefully she'll be able to enjoy what time she has left.mik wrote: Mon Sep 29, 2025 10:28 pm Rubbish.![]()

Good maybe we can finally get a real fight for the last few races. Somehow this season feels more dull than the one where Max almost won every race.

Wonder what the odds are on the mclarens taking each other out several times and max winning the title?
Cheers, Harry

Lol choosing to crash into your teammate rather than a championship rival, yeah I'd not be happy either.integrale_evo wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:57 pm Good grief Oscar is right up their with the best of the whiny twats![]()

Technically he crashed into both, he hit max first and then oscarRobYob wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 12:34 amLol choosing to crash into your teammate rather than a championship rival, yeah I'd not be happy either.integrale_evo wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:57 pm Good grief Oscar is right up their with the best of the whiny twats![]()
Re: No F1 thread?
One of those where you could easily see Oscar being in the same position, and the same result. Norris is certainly not the most aggressive driver out there. Expecting the team to swap them back was a bit ridiculous really.
Dull race on the whole though. I think McLaren's saving grace in terms of the WDC is probably that the Merc seems competitive as well now and the top three teams will all take points away. If it was just RB vs. McLaren you'd worry that Max is gonna really start slicing into that lead while they squabble.

Re: No F1 thread?
The race direction seemed really shit yesterday, or at least the C4 highlights were. I was watching Hamilton on a charge (why did we not get switched to that feed instead of watching Norris not get any close to Max?) and then as soon as he got really close he suddenly dropped back A LOT. I mean he lost a minute in the last lap and yet there was no cut to him to see what the hell was going on as Alonso closed in on him.
I had to go and google what had happened. Not so long ago they'd be cutting to action up and down the field, but these days they seem happy to just follow the procession at the front.

Re: No F1 thread?
Despite the incident at the start and fair enough moaning about it on the radio, but skipping the podium when your team just won the constructors' title and you're leading the title with them seems more than a bit off. I was beginning to like Oscar a bit for coming across as no nonsense and getting the job done but maybe not, now the pressure's coming more from Lando.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: No F1 thread?
Turns out Oscar didn’t cut off Zack, it’s just the way the car powered down. Oscar then went off to do his obligated press duties and McLaren started the celebrations without telling him anything about it
