I watched it live and thought it looked a bit dangerous straight away, the pack seemed to close up pretty quickly and I was fully expecting a collision behind.
You expect a bit of acceleration and braking behind the safety car, it’s not usually hard braking before rolling along at low speed. They brought in various rules to try and limit the concertina effect and potential incidents.
Sure max didn’t fully brake or lock up, he didn’t need to, he had clear space. Maybe he didn’t want to slam on and get hit from behind? I don’t think that but of evidence added much.
I also don’t see how the max spin had anything at all to do with it other than knowing the restart was his best chance of getting ahead having already jumped Norris in the pits. He just put too much power on out of the corner and lost it. Completely separate and unrelated.
Still think the penalty was harsh and would have preferred a head to head race without it.

Being replaced by Laurent Mekis according to the rumours. Good riddance.

Last ditch attempt by Red Bull to keep Max?

Does the timing coincide with an employment law suite, if so was it a finger or a sausage?

They just need to get rid of the poison that is Marko now.

Gone from Red Bull but no way can I see him out of F1, quite a few teams are desperate for a new TP. I feel like this means Max will stay at RB because even up to last week there were rumours that him and his father were pushing to sack Horner.

You could be right about Max, but I was thinking the sacking was for the opposite reason. With Wheatley and Newey leaving, along with any hope of the Constructors this year, and their B-team closing the gap with a quicker car, all pushed things over the edge.

Could be the ultimate troll from Max, get Horner sacked then go to Mercedes...
I can't see the Red Bull becoming a decent car anytime soon. So many top staff left the team last year. They don't even seem to have a decent engine for next year. If Max wasn't there they'd be last in the constructors.

I wonder if some of that was due to Horner's antics (either business or harassment). It all feels a bit "a day late and a dollar short" as Brundle would say, should have potted him when they had the opportunity with the scandal.
As has been said though, as much of a smarmy cunt as he is, he's a proven winner and they'll be plenty of other teams in for him.

I can almost imagine the smile on Toto Wollf's face today
I wonder if Toto would try to block it, if Horner tried to go to a team with a Merc engine?

MBS quoted a Silverstone as saying a return to V8/10 is his preference for 2029 onwards, and teams are supportive..

Where are they going to go next if Yuki isn’t renewed and max goes somewhere else?
Hadjar looks pretty handy, but who else? Does anyone else even want the toxic seat?
Complete implosion of the team or sellout to someone else?

There’s that kid they kept asking for a super licence exemption for as he was too young. Forget his name but Red Bull think he’s as good as Verstappen was at that age.

Sack off the remaining toxic elements in the team (Marko and Jos...which means accepting losing Max too) then reboot the team as a healthy environment that doesn't favour one driver - the cars are built to suit both, at least until they're in a place to fight for championships again.
Get some great young talented drivers and accept the struggle for the next 2-3 years but aim to be back on top by 2028.
