Yeah it’s mad who is now allowed, we can have ours in but it doesn’t feel right and luckily with some isolating we are able to use my FIL so my wife can cram 3 days of work into 2.

I’m confident the roll out of vaccinations will eventually go well now the military are involved, this is their bread and butter.

What are parents who aren’t key workers who still have to go to work and arrange their annual leave and alternative childcare around school holidays supposed to do given how many more people are still working now compared to the first lockdown?

It’s no surprise there are a lot more children still being sent to school.

Our school made a point of saying if we don’t log in then we will get a call from the teachers to assist. So I’m guessing enough parents were just throwing them in front of a telly or similar.
I can completely understand how as trying to motivate ours some days is a nightmare and others they are perfect little school kids.
We also had an email offering notebooks and supplies etc so it looks like they are helping more despite them doing a great job.

Again, single parents with no garden or outdoor area, that’s a tough gig.

Worst bit is, with the MIL in the house I don't really dare even leave the bedroom. Going to be a long 10 days!

... you'll probably be seeing a lot of me.

Worried the rest of the family now have it anyway, but got to hide from them just in case they haven't for whatever reason. The wife had symptoms very early in the pandemic, so hoping she's got some immunity.

Cheers Chris. Feel ok at the moment, maybe a bit more fuzzy in my head, but no cough or anything. Hopefully I don't deteriorate.

Just anecdotally (and to back up what the news is saying) it seems very widespread in the south. Lots of people at work have had it, one of my neighbours has got it. I fear the vaccine is about a month too late to really be a big win.

You want Marv to get it for the CSL Dave! But it's a good shout so I'll take the Elise Duncs, ta.

How is the Lotus in fact, and the garage floor? No excuse for not telling us now you've got some time on your hands ;)

Not much happened lately what with the baby coming, then Christmas etc. I usually try to find some nice dry days throughout the winter to keep things ticking over, but sadly not been great so far.

Cash has been a little tighter than expected, so no news on the garage either, but it's looking increasingly likely that I might have secured myself a new job and a bit more money/bonus scheme... so I'm hoping that I might have a little more free cash to do a bit more with the Elise in the spring.

It does feel like a matter of when you’ll get it in the SE rather than if now. I imagine vaccine or not everyone here will have had exposure to it by Easter at this rate.
How about not having a sig at all?

Good news on the job front and I'm sure you'll get to it when the weather improves 8-)

Cheers guys. So far the worry about infecting others is far worse than the illness itself.

@duncs500 GWS. I'm not going to try to bagsy your car, because I'm nice that way (nothing to do with the fact I won't fit obviously).

Ta. Just a bit of pressure in the head and a few aches, no cough of note so far.
