(According to Dinny)
This may not have quite the gravitas you might expect sadly
It has exactly the amount of gravitas I expect.

Hellboy
It's trash but enjoyable trash. Plays around with the source material a bit more than I'd like and Ian McShane is hilariously miscast but David Harbour does a good Hellboy and the monster/gore effects are mostly amazing. It's a shame it was a total flop and we probably won't see a sequel as I'd have liked to have seen more of it.
Shazam
It was good, considering the characters I was expecting a bit more of a kids movie but it has a kind of weird inbetween feel. It's trying to be light hearted but the darker tone of the other DC movies keeps leaking in. I really enjoyed it though, that's two decent DC movies in a row. I wonder if they can keep it going.

It looks, on first inspection at least, that Tom's doing his own flying (like in MI: Fallout), simply because he's the coolest 57 year old actor ever).
Love the parallel scenes from the original Top Gun too. Really really excited for this. Top Gun, along with Days of Thunder was one of THE films of my youth. I watched it over and over.
Please be good, please be good,...

I hope it’s good. I still say that the original has the best opening of any movie. Harold Faltermayer’s mood music into Kenny Loggins on full afterburner is hard to beat

I'm sorry to be judgmental but F18s just aren't cool enough.
Intrigued by what the plane is at 1:23 where he's got the spacesuit on.

If it’s real planes and not made up movie stuff it’ll be a U2 surely

The trailer makes that Hollywood “bwaaaarrrb” sound right at the beginning. First few seconds. That’s Hollywood code for future technology.

The suggestion is (along with the dialog in the trailer) that some of this will be about fighter pilots vs drones, and that high altitude suit is relevant to that fight. But SR71 is long since retired, and U2 is a surveillance aircraft. So not sure what the plot is there.

Just saw the trailer (twice) cannot wait! I am more excited for this than any of the Marvel films or even Star Wars film coming.
Seems like pretty much every bloke in my age bracket feels the same!

I watched Inside Man again yesterday after work - It really is a marvellous film and high on the list of "Wish I could watch it again for the first time" films like The Game or The Usual Suspects.
