^ I watched a vid with similar in showing a couple of cars from the same manufacturer that were on sale at the same time but designed a couple of decades apart. The result was as expected, but the older car had been on sale for such a long primarily as a taxi so there's be a disproportionate amount still on the road compared to normal life cycles. Safer as newer vehicles are, I think you tended to get a better view out from older ones. Avoiding an accident in the first place is an outmoded view now, these days people expect to survive the crash and blame the other party (insert 'while shouting 'I was indicating!/you're on camera!/some other bullpoop' as applicable).
