Been keeping up with Star Trek Discovery but I’m not liking this season as much as the first.
I'm four episodes in and while I agree, I didn't really rate the early episodes of the first series either. I think there's some equally interesting plotlines developing (aside from the Tilly one... in general she's an awful character).
Caught up with the last couple over the weekend and it's getting better. The plot with Spock and the Red Angel is pretty interesting.

Binged Gervais's After Life last night and thought it was excellent. Funny, heartwarming, heartbreaking.
Watched them all today! Excellent, excellent, excellent!

I was about to say that they should do a spin off of this "section 31", but google suggests that they already are!

I was a bit unsure about the new Partridge but the third episode had some proper LOL moments.
After Life was just ok. He’s never going to better The Office or Extras, I suppose. It’s on par with Derek but better than Life’s Too Short IMO.
White Gold series two as good as the first.

Fleabag Never watched the first series. No idea why. Having watched Killing Eve last year though we've been watching this second series and really enjoying it. Very funny.
Jerk First episode was very funny, especially the dark humour covering disability. 2nd ep last night though was very flat and meh.

I've finished White Gold now. This series was better than the first, IMO. Really good.
After Life: I hate Gervais so was taking the piss out of my wife because she wanted to watch it. But because I'm nothing if not open-minded, I watched it with her and then made her put the next one on too. I still don't like Gervais but it's actually quite good. Not in the thoughtful way he wants it to be, but considering I couldn't even stand to watch more than a few minutes of Humanity I've been surprised.
Partridge: going downhill, IMO; hard to resist picking up the phone when it's on. We were discussing how much better I'm Alan Partridge was.

I liked lots about AP, the dvla/dvsa bit was classic Partridge, but it’s still held back by the whole set up being unbelievable.

Watched all of After Life over the lat couple of days - thought it was great but very sad... I can be quite an emotional person so was crying most of the way through it I don't think it's a series I'd want to watch over again though, whereas Derek (particuarly Series 1) has enough fun in it to keep going back to.

I haven’t liked anything with Ricky Gervais since the office, but I’ve just watched 5 episodes of afterlife back to back. It’s really fucking good.

I'm a big fan of Gervais. I watched all 6 over 2 nights and loved every minute of it. Touching and emotional and then whacks you in the face with a joke. Brilliant.

I thought there was a new season out when I saw that - you guys got electricity yet as well?
Stick with it - from memory Season 7 got really good.

Does this F1 programme ever actually settle down to tell an actual story? It’s just a load of dumbed down sound bites jumping around from person to person, race to race, season to season?

A warning - it’s extremely graphic
I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch it. I am (was?) a big MJ fan, a think like most people. And didn’t want the music and the mystique ruined. But, I thought it only fair to listen to these guys. I can’t say that I’ve enjoyed it, but it’s been interesting.
After only the first episode, I leave being pretty much convinced of their stories
I’m going to watch the second part this week
Finally got round to watching the second part
The second part covers more about life after the abuse, and Michael’s trials
It’s a really, really interesting watch. The psychology of these victims of abuse is fascinating.
