Yeah, it'll happen in ten years. Just like how fully autonomous (not supervised) self driving was two years away....
....in 2014.
At some point, people will start realising he's a massive fucking liar, but apparently the stockbrokers and people who are perfectly happy giving money from and getting money back from a white supremacist cunt are still thick as mince.

New Tesla Roadster is coming out at the end of the year. You know, to replace the last one which was previewed almost 10 years ago and never sold
I think the Robot launch at the end of this year will be funny for all the wrong reasons. And they’ve actually ended Model S/X production for it so it should happen unlike the other stuff.
He’s a massive liar but I still think all the super wealthy are very much hewn from the same stone. All the Epstein stuff pretty much reinforced that. Elon has almost no filter so he’s like a half open book. And it’s clear that if you can afford the best lawyers you can get away with almost anything, and for everything else you can pay your way out…

They've binned off S/X because they're ancient, shit and not selling any. There's only so many software updates you can do to convince the tech-bros that your models are still cutting edge. Optimus production is just a smoke screen for the ending of that production run. You know this to be true because Elon said it, therefore he automatically lies.
Optimus won't happen this year, and certainly not at any scale at all.

Certainly it will be like the first year of the Cybertruck launch - influencers and friends only, not allowed to sell on or saying anything bad etc, horrendous depreciation

Elon was predicting 300 Million (!!!) cybertrucks sold by 2030. It’s going to take one hell of a ramp up considering they’ve only sold around 65,000 so far.
Oh, and 40M combined S&X, which are both now out of production at around 800k

Copying Ferrari's business model doesn't always work

i saw a post that said Tesla is currently valued at more than all the other car manufacturers put together…
… and makes up <2% of overall sales.
POP!

Is that not due to all the mapping/ self drive information the cars have gathered over the years though ?
It makes no sense to me but I'm sure I've heard called a Data company more than a car manufacturer.
Dave!

Doesn’t really fully answer the ongoing stoopid valuation, but some interesting comments in this vid.
Would be interested to hear @SSO 's take on this phenomena….

I'm not sure if someone who takes finance seriously can explain a meme stock? Given they're inherently unserious.

I know, I know, but the fact they exist, and people still pump their money into them kinda fascinates me as much as it baffles me. Not that I am any kind of expert - hence the question….

But they're still a stock which the public can purchase, and publicly traded stocks are subject to strict regulation and reporting requirements. Meaning the memeness of it, while amusing for a minute, is laid bare. It's just the same as any bubble. The same people probably bought NFTs.

Cybercab prototypes now seen out and about with lidar sensors.
You know, the think they removed from production Teslas on the insistence that normal cameras were better for self driving because people drive and don’t have radar and just use their eyes.
Still seems ridiculous that you’d purpose build a cab in the shape of a 2 door coupe with following doors and not just a square box.

It's not meant to be functional, it's meant to fool rubes into buying, and holding on to, their Tesla stock.
That's all anything Tesla does is.

To be fair to Musk (nauseating I know) Rimac wants their autotaxi similarly Coupish.
Ah good, a taxi with 2 whole seats, and screens that don’t look like they could handle some pissed up person falling onto them and spewing down the back of them
Which to be fair I think is the biggest hurdle driverless taxis have- how to judge that someone is so hammered they need to tell than to jog on because they’ll spew allover your interior, and shit themselves on your seats
Everyone looks at the driving of these things, and no one looks at the people getting in without a person to make them take responsibility
