What's everyone's prediction for the season? Answer in order:
1.) WDC?
2.) WCC?
3.) Who gets more points out of Lewis and Charles?
1.) don't know
2.) don't know
3.) don't know
And that's hopefully why this season will be a good one.
They need to stop making big changes to the regs, because 2026 will probably go back to one team dominating.

I’d like to see Norris come of age with more consistency.
Be nice if someone other than max won the championship.
Lewis, I don’t know. I’m hoping the spark and passion returns, but if he has a difficult first few races I wonder if he’ll just quit.

I'd like to see Piastri consistantly beat Norris

This. Norris is a whining child, and he's not cut throat enough. Shame as otherwise I quite like the guy. He's increasingly got a whiff of the LeClerc about him though.
I think the season will be close - could be anyones it seems. Would love for Lewis to back in the mix though.

I'd say one of the most likely occurrences is that Piastri and Norris will fall out pretty quickly, especially if it's the best car (which it appears to be).
I'm going to go for Piastri for the title, he's quick and he's got a bit more of the cuntyness about him that a top driver needs. Norris was more consistently quick at more circuits, but I'm going to say with that bit more experience this year Piastri should be up there.
McLaren do look good for your start of the season, usually I'd say that someone else might unlock a bit more potential during the season (like they did last year), but I wonder if everyone is going to be too focused on 2026.
I hope Lewis does beat Charles, but I just wonder whether Charles will have been galvanised by taking on Lewis and also learnt a bit from him in terms of the race. I think Charles will edge it.
Obviously would be great to see Lewis claim that WDC for Ferrari, but probably that's a stretch.
@Mito Man are Red Bull that bad based on testing? I got the impression they were in the mix behind McLaren.

They seemed to not be happy on testing but they may also have fitted the biggest sand bags

I'm still not getting the LeClerc hype. He just seems a bit mid. I wonder if Ferrari hiring Lewis was more to mentor him and improve his consistency.

There's the FIA presidency election this year, hopefully the little dictator gets voted out but I recall he changed the rules so that he's allowed to bribe the delegates to vote for him

I see Brundle is saying Max is favourite this year, he makes some compelling points TBF. Being a clear and dominant no.1 being the biggest.

Yep, that’s the problem the others will have. If they’re quicker than RB they need to back their lead driver as soon as possible. When they’re both taking points off each other a consistent max even in a slower car is a huge threat.
If it’s a decent car, George at merc could be in a pretty strong position.

I’ve wanted to get back into F1 for a few years now - i used to be a massive fan and would watch every race in some fashion. 2021 is far enough away that i can forget it, but it just appears that they’ve locked any casual viewer out nowadays.

I cancelled my Sky subscription last year as for most of it it was a Max dominated snooze fest. I think the British GP was one of the few I watched.
I'll be signing back up this year as want to see how Lewis does at Ferrari. Hopefully it will be a more interesting season and segue into a bigger reshuffle with the change in regs next year.

The Red Bull really went south once Newey left, and they’ve largely retained the same car. Max has the advantage that he won’t be fighting his teammate, I think Lawson is just as bad as all the other teammates he’s had.
George will have a similar advantage given he’s up against a rookie and he seems quite confident. Mercedes could be the dark horse here.
McLaren will be an infighting mess until someone comes out on top. Ferrari maybe similar if Hamilton’s flair returns.

I’ll just stick to the c4 highlights until the season starts to develop, then might jump onto now Tv again if it’s looking exciting towards the end of the year.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Max dominated the first half of the season and there were quite a few decent races.

Yes I think that's fair and probably escaped my close attention as I'd tuned out by then. Ultimately though the rest of the pack never looked to regain that ground and the outcome of the WDC was fairly inevitable.
