I think people should be discouraged from being tested.
Yep, that’ll magically make it go away.
Maybe ask them not to go to hospital when they can’t breathe too
Are they still paying the poor a 500 quid covid bonus for coming down with it?

Just had to cancel seeing my sister and her kids. Nephew burst into tears when he was told.

Well I'm not having my parents and uncle round, but it's possible my uncle will still go to my parents. Support bubble ya see.

One of the kids in my nieces year got tested positive a few days ago so we cancelled them visiting my parents. Shame the country isn't allowed to make common sense judgements.
I met up with some mates earlier, one has been in Dubai for work from Jan till recently. The lockdown there sounded brutal. He wasn't allowed anywhere after 6pm for a couple of months. Stuck on his own in a small studio. I'm sure people will cope.

My Gran is going to die in the next day or two, my parents are down there in Croydon and think they may be staying now. Christmas in Pembrokeshire is cancelled but it is what it is.
Things could be so much worse so just hoping for a drama free Christmas Day.
Dave!

Thats bad enough.
Certainly going to be the worst Christmas since the year we went on a cruise for xmas. Never do that, it really is terrible.

TBH, our plans were fairly full on given we've got a newborn, it may well be a blessing in disguise.

So I have cold seafood/fish starters for 9 people but no meat and pretty much everywhere has stopped taking Christmas orders. Excellent.
On the plus side we do have two bottles of champagne each...

Awful news Dave, really sorry to hear that.
Looks like it’ll be an FaceTime Christmas dinner for me too. Anyone have any idea whether a Christmas cracker hat fits on an iPad?

Oof Dave, that sounds shit.
That said, for me, honestly, not having to 'do something' for Christmas is a blessing. Might go exploit the Christmas Exception shit to go see my brother and try to help him sort his shit out. I need to sort my shit out more, but common sense isn't a thing in our family, so...
