Re: No F1 thread?
Only 2 sets of wet tyres per driver, and the race is also going to be wet. Although I'm surprised they're even using the wets as they're almost useless.
How about not having a sig at all?

Crikey, thought Norris was in big trouble there, never seemed comfortable, but in the wet you never know what’s going to happen and seem to have got some very good luck in Q2!

Re: No F1 thread?
Norris came good in the end, will be amazed if they get albon out for the start, was a pretty heavy smash.

Hopefully it’s a chaotic wet race.
Will make up for yesterdays snooze.

What a drive by Max, he had all the pressure and nailed every lap.

F1 cars are great at low speed in gravel…
Lucky with the pit stop / red flag, but Max made everyone else look very average after the restart.

Max showing he can win without driving like a cunt. Hopefully he can continue like that

That. I only watched the highlights, but even I wasn't shouting profanities at my monitor. Fair play.jamcg wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 6:30 pm Max showing he can win without driving like a cunt. Hopefully he can continue like that

Was a bit of a long shot anyway. Shame mclaren didn’t get their act together a couple of races earlier. Still, been a decent season so far, best I can remember for a while.

Re: No F1 thread?
It was a bit of a masterclass in how to not win a driver's championship by Mclaren. Norris also needs to get his shit together. Screwed up almost every race start. Also consistently places his car poorly on those opening laps. Usually seemed to come off worse in wheel to wheel battles.

This continues to be the case.duncs500 wrote: Mon Oct 21, 2024 9:53 am I must say, this is by far the most impressive WDC title Max has won though. It's undeniable that he's the class of the field this year.
In terms of McLaren, both team and driver have not had the ability to deliver consistently, especially when under pressure. On the pace of the car they should have been well in the hunt. Fair play to Max though, he has been excellent all season.

Nicely chaotic race!
A drive which will define the championship for Verstappen IMO, he didn't put a foot wrong that whole race and made everyone else look average.

Luck not talent according to Lando.

The GPDA headed by George have created an instagram account firing shots at the FIA and Sulayem.

Been really ill all weekend and rewatched last year's Las Vegas race
Those cars, that circuit, those lights/signs, hotels and casinos etc
I was getting whiffs of Wipeout on the PlayStation
