Randomness
Re: Randomness
I thought this was a piss take initially - but they are there.
Re: Randomness
I never knew how crap pigeons were at building nests. I guess it hasn't harmed their procreation much.
Re: Randomness
I read a thread that might be in the replies of that tweet about why they're so bad at it.
Apparently it's because a lot of what we consider wild pigeons are descended from birds that went feral after we stopped using carrier pigeons etc. They're generations away from any bird that might have built a nest in the wild so they just don't know how it's supposed to work. It's like those videos of deaf dogs trying to bark, they've observed and know they should be doing something but they're not sure what.

An absolute unit
Re: Randomness
If you look up a rock dove nest then it will look more conventional as they’re the line that all domesticated pigeons were bred from. Rock doves are really rare in the wild, you won’t find them in busy city centres and they’re not people friendly - in fact according to the RSPB they’re only found in Scotland and NI now

The pigeon pictured above is partly domesticated.

How about not having a sig at all?

Just about the most illiterate and poorly worded video I've seen.

Maybe not the best - you may well get the point quicker by looking at the thumbnail and googling - and I can't remember if it included the review of the Lake District from Tripadvisor (or similar) where the person complains there are too many lakes*, but hopefully of some use.interest.

Re: Randomness
should have looked further ahead earlier so you can join without relying on others getting out of your way.
Re: Randomness
I agree*, but it doesn't work with that pic where people have altered their progress to get in the way

*Completely correct of course. Sure enough there are some places in the country a long way from suitable roads to drive on when having lessons, but that's not here and the fvckers still can't get it right

Re: Randomness
In that pic the blue car should have just booted it quarter of a mile back and jumped infront of the red car. People are terrified of their right foot for some reason- see also people joining motorways at 45mph and immediately cause a wagon to swerve around them or Emergancy stop
Re: Randomness
Rich fiercely upholding the British tradition.

The majority of Europe (lets ignore Italy for example*) manages to merge in turn without issue. Utilisation of all available lanes is maximised, keeping both queue length, and opportunities for anyone to get angry/upset to a minimum. Mole hills remains mole hills.
* In Italy it appears to be perfectly acceptable - when stuck in traffic jams on single carriageways - to drive up the wrong side of the road and shove in at some point - presumably 'cos you are very very busy. It's really weird.

Re: Randomness
Why wait politely, when you can deploy your 400 horses to spank it up the inside and get ahead of the dawdlers.
Re: Randomness
If you don't:
a. Blast down the slip road onto the motorway at full bore acceleration
or
b. Blast away from a Toll Both on the motorway at full bore acceleration
Do you even like cars ???

Is of course correct (258 horses here thoughRich B wrote: Wed Jul 13, 2022 10:53 am Why wait politely, when you can deploy your 400 horses to spank it up the inside and get ahead of the dawdlers.

Usually works much better to be fair when you're driving an older car that hasn't been washed in a while.

Reminds me of our journey back from Suffolk. Not sure I've been on the M6 toll since mini-Merv arrived. Anyway, obviously did the obbligatory emergency departure from toll booth, to cried of "WTF are you doing you idiot" from the passenger seat.
