Seeing lots of rumours of Newey to Aston Martin on Twitter. No smoke without fire. Disappointing though.
Hush little baby, execs I’ll meet, daddy’s gunna buy you a racing seat
and if that seat gets taken away, daddy’s gunna buy the team anyway
And if that racing team don’t win, daddy’s gunna go and buy you *him*
And if alonso tries to win, daddy’s gunna go kgb him
Will papa Stoll give Alonso polonium tea too?
Fixed?

Another crap start for Lando, but the boy done good.
Didn’t let it fluster him, let the car settle in, made a pass for the lead and seemed to easily pull out a big RB style lead. 22 odd seconds at the finish on a short lap.
Love the gyro cam they’ve been using, really shows how banked the track is with the cars swinging side to side over the whole lap.

Yeah, enough in that race to keep it interesting. Loving seeing McLaren this strong, constructors championship certainly looks on for them.

Safety car needs a safety car. Who let sergeant have a go?

That's really weird. At first I thought something mechanical had failed, but when I made the image bigger - you can see the driver steering, and the car appears to go where it's pointed Almost like they were attempting a huge high-speed drift.... which I accept isn't really regular Safety Car behaviour. (Although it's also not unheard of)

The safety car and medical car usually drifts to entertain the crowd when it’s not an official session.
Not sure what it’s doing on a Thursday but they may be using it for celebrity drives or filming.

Wonder if he lost front brakes, or there was some sort of bias issue. There’s no nose dip, and the rear disk you can see is very hot!

Stroll will be fuming, as it's his job to crash Aston Martins

Wondering if it could be the result of the ESP not being in the fully off setting whilst drifting? Car braking the rears to control wheelspin, just cooking the rear brakes after a while.

They always run safety car and medical car on a Thursday, they do a high speed track check

No one commenting? McLaren on pole and second again with Verstappen 7th. Norris could take this title yet…

I wonder if Norris will be consistent enough to win? He is 70 points behind but Max tends to score decent points every race, so will be interesting and exciting to watch if he can pinch points here and there, but is it 9 races left so he need to outscore Max by 10 ish points per race, that is a tall order even with the RedBull struggling with "up"grades.

I’m surprised that Norris still isn’t the number 1 driver at Mclaren for the remainder of the season - yesterday he said the same rules apply as in Hungary which at this point of the season is incredibly stupid.
