The island is cut off by the tide twice a day - it’s to get to it when the tide is in.

I’ve not just been on it, my ex-stepson got to drive it (just steering, but so nice of the driver to let him).

That's the most delightfully old-school, utterly mental, yet entirely practical solution for that problem. You can imagine when it was built the idea of continuously maintaining a one-off tractor heavily fucked by sea salt all the time just wouldn't be an issue... 'Alf and Gerard down the shop there can sort that, it'll be fine.'

I had in my mind there was another one somewhere, I don't know if Salcombe was what I was thinking of though I've probably grouped everything together, like dinny's Brighton post and bathing huts etc. This and V8's Glos. post don't make me want to travel, honest
