What an odd bit of design!

Mike, is there any scope to add 50cm on the front of the garage to make the length usable?

I've always wanted a TA28 Celica. 4.17m long. Would maybe just fit if I could move the doorway. There's already a Brexit-level divide developing in the house over how that might affect the kitchen plans

Otherwise, yeah, I'll be looking up all classics under 4m long. Ideally 4-seaters so we can all get out in it.

Sadly not Simon - best might be 20cm without having to re-engineer the garage roof, but even then it may require a lot of work due to crap ground. Existing is all mini-piled with some very chunky ground beams.

id never get a massive Tv past the Mrs, and I don’t have the money At the moment to do the “this is what I’ve bought and it’s too late to take it back” option!

hmmm - you’re right, a larger projector is probably more sensible...

I do like that indoor/outdoor look.

Sadly our FFL is about 2ft above rear garden level. Still trying to figure out what to do on that score as we don't use the outdoor space nearly enough for my liking - it's quite a faff to go through dining area or utility room and down steps to get from kitchen to patio.

Question for the forum hive mind: I need the skirting, door and architrave and door liner replacing in the front room of our house. Its been hacked about, the door doesn't fit and none of it is a match for the victorian design/dimensions in the rest of the house.

What would people expect (labour only) and how long to do it? I've had one quote, which I won't disclose just yet and a sanity check would be helpful...

ETA: Room is an average size for a Victorian terrace (4m x 4m or thereabouts).

Your figure is not far off what I was quoted. Joiner thought it would take 3-4 days though. I guess that's right if you work 8-1pm...

I was expecting 2-3 days at 200ish day rate so 600 fixed quote. £800ish seems steep to me - even for London.
