Re: Coronavirus
All well and good trying to comfort people by saying the people making the decisions aren’t idiots but there’s 225 top scientists who are equally qualified disputing it and there’s many things that could be improved upon.
There’s basic questionable choices such as not testing NHS staff, not giving them protective clothing - madness.
Why did they wait until today to order ventilators? Then they realised they don’t produce any in the U.K. so it will take weeks to get them made.
They still haven’t bothered expanding hospital capacity.

I had it 3 weeks ago. Bloody awful.mr_jon wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 6:10 pm Youngest came down with the lurg Friday, poo and puke everywhere. I've had it today and now the missus has just started feeling very rough. Not Corona, at least we don"t think. Proper wiped me out today though. Just hope we can all get over this one so we have a reasonable strength if we do get corona.

Except for the fact that some actual top scientists in the field have looked at the list and don’t recognise any of the names as their peers. Although I think there’s a couple of phd students on it?Mito Man wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 7:45 pm All well and good trying to comfort people by saying the people making the decisions aren’t idiots but there’s 225 top scientists who are equally qualified disputing it and there’s many things that could be improved upon.

But hey it will generate clicks an outrage in the easily led so it’s good to print. I swear half the stuff printed in the MSM is fake or just bait and they know it, they are treating this whole thing as a good way to make money and just pouring petrol on the fire.Ascender wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 9:20 pmExcept for the fact that some actual top scientists in the field have looked at the list and don’t recognise any of the names as their peers. Re: Coronavirus
On Saturday, my hire car from Europecar was covered in anti bacterial cleaner making it wet and slimy inside. After cleaning it my diesel golf had horrible steering, massively over-services brakes, joyless to drive but did 64mpg on the way to my job

Wondering If we'd all actually spread bet daily how much money would've been made?

You can console yourself knowing that I have money in a FTSE100 tracker. Ho-hum. It'll recover eventually.

Re: Coronavirus
So what's the latest word re school closures and events and the like? I know in Scotland there's now this ban on public gatherings of over 500 people, but is it tomorrow we're expecting more guidance from the government?
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Coronavirus
On the radio this morning they said the government will give an official statement at least once a day telling us what is going on.
