Credit to Sainz, doing all the strategy himself and even using the DRS train to defend.
He can't exactly rely on Ferrari to make good calls. :D

Ham came out the double stop just over 5 seconds behind Rus, made closed the gap to 1.5s - could have been enough of a gap to win if positions were reversed.

Much better! Three teams having the chance to win must be banned obviously, but RB seeming to come unstuck is great! LH would’ve won that, but feel really sorry for GR… glad Ferrari won as they have the best looking car! 😂

Also, saw an F12 in that dark red (or similar) yesterday and much prefer it to the 812..

I thought they should have swapped for the last lap to give Lewis a go and then swap back if he didn’t manage to pass lando

Glad I watched the repeat, F1 is so much more enjoyable when Max isn't winning

Just finished watching the C4 catch-up. That was proper heart pounding! Lovely to see a close race at the top.

Real shame for George - obviously driver mistake, but a harsh punishment for it!

Normal service has been resumed.

Also does Logan Sargeant have a huge sponsor? I’m surprised he hasn’t been binned yet. He’s as bad as Latifi. And Vowles saying that they’ve had so much attrition this year that they now have to divert resources away to produce replacement parts now.

No argument there, especially when compared to Lawson.

Max is going to run off into the distance isn’t he?

Be nice to have a Norris, Russell, Hamilton podium, but can’t see it happening 😂

Andretti's bid to enter Formula 1 with Cadillac approved by FIA

Now just for the money grabbing cunts to approve it. I see rodin cars got knocked back. Which is a bit shit as they own a majority or Carlin, I wonder if the statement of them reserving a race seat for a female driver is what made them fail

"F1 will only admit Andretti if it considers their entry to add value to the championship as a whole."
You could argue that 4 of the current teams add bugger all value to the championship as it is...

Is anyone watching any more?

Max seals the drivers title in the sprint race with a 2nd while Piastri wins.

In the main race Pirelli say 18 laps max total life on any set of tyres 😳

Perez starts from the pits and finishes 10th. Probably would have been 12th if Ham and Sainz were in it. Russel off the track on lap 1, finishes 4th.

MacLaren 2nd and 3rd from 6th and 10th on the grid behind the Max show.

Looked quite exciting with plenty of overtakes on the highlights.

Yeah. Thought it was unfortunate that Max won the title on a Saturday on what must have been the track with the fewest fans and least atmosphere this season. Thoroughly lame in that regard.
Perez managed to get 3x 5 second time penalties for exceeding track limits 😂 Even his engineer had a moan at him.
I got confused as there were too many pit stops to keep a track of actual positions aside from Max leading so kinda stopped paying attention.

I didn't even watch the highlights this weekend and I think that is a first for me.

I don’t think anyone was watching tbh, I recorded the highlights and watched them in the morning. I usually stumble across the results while browsing around but somehow managed to completely avoid seeing the finishing order before watching it 😅
