Lovely clear sky tonight with the moon, stars, and some planets nice and sharp 8-)
Nice clean air too; I feel like I should go out and make the most of it but also that I should probably be up during the day rather than night. Hmm...anyway, it's a pleasant change to the last few wet, windy, and overcast days :)

Lovely half moon just up with Mars to it's top right. Jupiter and Saturn are to the south, Jupiter the brighter of the two. Venus rises in the east around dawn and is the third brightest after the sun and the moon.

Met Office; 35° forecast today with 24% humidity, followed by a yellow warning for thunderstorms
They've got us at 33° atm and it's been hottest at 3 - 4 o'clock so we're well on the way. I'm caught between wanting to go out and feel the unusually low humidity scorchio and wanting to stay inside in the shade where I've managed to keep it cool and there's a gentle breeze (plus the Sod's Law of if you go out it starts raining right at that mo').

I suspect it's a bad day to have just shaved your head for the first time in your life.

I'm gonna have to put sunscreen on my bonce, aren't I?

You could try wearing a Beany hat?

Walking out of the office was a bit like getting into an oven, but it's dry heat and there's a breeze so it feels really lovely - I'd be happy to have more days like this in summer and less of the high-20s but humid stuffiness we usually get.

Yes its all about the humidity. Living in HK it wasn't much hotter than a warm summers day but the humidity made you sweat like you were in a sauna as soon as you walked out an air conditioned building.

Still - working in my 'office' in the upstairs bedroom is getting close to that feeling today. Walking downstairs was like walking into a fridge!

It’s actually really pleasant outside - must be the low humidity. It does normally feel like 20 degrees in the U.K. is the equivalent of 30+ in the Med but for once it’s nice.

Strong breeze and combine dust is making me feel pretty chesty. don’t know if it’s something I’ve developed or corona after effects.

Can’t say it feels that much different to any other 30+c day here, not noticed the lower humidity at all really 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wasn’t a great day for the mrs to book a slot to do a tip run in the non-aircon polo 😂

The wind's getting up here now, so's the air pressure, humidity up to 38%, temp down to 32°, and while the yellow warning for thunderstorms covers here it looks like they'll miss. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, it would have watered the fruit and veg well and damped down the combine dust (as int' mentions above. I can't say I've noticed it affect my breathing but I think it's put a pong in the air).

^ I looked at the weather, typed that, posted it, went back and updated the weather page; temp down 2°, humidity up 5%, rain forecast to start at 9; quick change!
