mik wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 9:42 am I never thought they looked awesome, but I do get a little "ooh" when I spot a Fiat Coupe.

Colleague (who was a capable driver) had a 20V that I passengered in a couple of times - most memorably a high-speed trip from Edinburgh to 3-sisters outdoor kart track in Wigan (which I see has now been upgraded and is suitable for cars & bikes too :geek: ) for an endurance karting event....

20V was grippy and nippy, and made some great noises. 8-)
Yeah, one of my mates had a Bravo HGT which had the same engine on a newer platform iirc. Always thought it was cool.

As I drove out of our road the other day I had to wait for a G wagon to pass.

No, not one of the chintzy modern influencers favourites, an early 80s Swb open top one on skinny wheels and painted dark green.

It’s probably horrible to drive, but about a million times cooler than seeing a modern one crawling along city streets.

Seeing other stuff now the weathers starting to turn....

Mk4 R32 Golf. Not seen one in a dogs age. Seemingly overlooked at the time due to the "GTi is cheaper/faster/remapable" but apparently they're now quite expensive??

And two more R's up, a Skyline R34, but looked to have some stick on GTR bits. Always liked these, can't remember the last time I saw one.

The mk4 R32 probably has a bit of kudos from the popularity of the mk7 R. I think those extravagant Konig seats were an option so perhaps they need those to command the big money.

I think the R32 was always a fanboy favourite - do they have wide arches?

I had a Mk5 for a while. It was OK and made a nice noise but it was a bit boring - it accelerated like a diesel - very linear - and the fancy pants gearbox wasn't all that.

No, just different bumpers to any other mk4.

They were quite cheap for a long time.

From experience of the one I saw (in London, in a mates car, windows down, in a tunnel), my fuck the noise they make though. Delicious.

No idea if it was standard or not. Don't care.

Shame they put that engine in a Golf, really.

Saw one of those new MG sports cars from roughly this angle

Looked alright, a bit non descript. Suits the badge better than cheap and nasty SUVs I guess.

Visited Lord Bamford’s farm shop today - there was a Jellycat event so we took the Jellyct car. I’d not been before. It’s reassuringly expensive.

Jellycat Tuktuk spotted:

Lord Bamford sells toilet brushes. I didn’t check the price but the terracotta garden pots are about 5x the price of the ones from my local place. You do get ‘Daylesford’ embossed in the pots. Probably somewhere on the bog brushes too.

A bit of a cheat as this Singer was in the paddock at Donington

I've been doing a bit of internet snooping about the Singer above.

Some of you may know this but it was the first RHD Singer and was one of the main attractions at Goodwood when it was released. Chris Harris apparently did some runs up the hill climb in it too. It's also on Sothebys for £845,000 although that may be an old listing so don't build your hopes up

I forgot that I saw one coming back up from Coventry last week, on the M1 somewhere. That's how nondescript it is.

Also bigger than I thought it was going to be.

I’ve enjoyed being out in the compact again a lot more now the weather seems to have turned, and both commutes are in daylight.

So far, every day this week I’ve seen a mk1 focus RS and a blue mk5 golf r32 commuting in the opposite direction. Both looking immaculate and standing out from the regular traffic.

I saw a mk5 R32 yesterday.

Someone on the southside of Glasgow appears to be dailying a 68 Fastback Mustang in Bullitt correct Forest Green.

Been a bunch of pictures floating around and it’s passed me twice.

Looks tiny in modern traffic. Also needs a better exhaust/lumpier cam.

3 of the newer Mustangs like the one Alex on here has in a convoy on the M25. Don’t know if there’s a show on somewhere.

There was a meet at Brogdale Farm. Family live just up the road, saw loads on the way there.

Travelling south on the m1 yesterday I spotted a Bugatti stuck in the north bound congestion. Not sure what model as I am far from an expert on hypercars
