Mine isn’t arriving until May 14th so I’ve had to buy co-op rubbish to tide me over... :(

Shit just got real.

Just waiting on the gas adapter kit and some more briquettes which should be here by the end of lunch.
Happy Christmas! 8-)

I didn't bother getting a cover for my Weber - the old Outback cover seemed to act as a wonderful home for snails and insects rather than doing anything useful to protect the bbq.

I’ve said it in here before but my Weber Kettle has lived outside for 15 years without a cover and neither the shell or the legs are showing any sign of rust...

Still in tip top shape

Yep. Sadly I've no choice with no hood so the annual snail crap wash has always been necessary

The Weber cover doesn't reach the ground so hopefully no snails will make it up into it:

Get some smaller roasting dishes for veg and the like.

I’m making a curry on mine tomorrow.

My Charcoal arrived today !!! :D

Just in time for the weekend. I don't need to use the co-op rubbish now.

I've ordered the Weber smoker box and some wood chips; it's a good job they haven't arrived yet because I couldn't find any brisket in the two supermarkets I tried. Particularly unimpressed with Sainsburys' stock levels considering how long they made me queue to get in.

I’ve gone low tech. Aldi firepit with Aldi charcoal briquettes.

Like an idiot, I didn't read what I was ordering and bought 'chunks' instead of 'chips'. I presume they're a slower burn. :x

Couldn't really taste it on the chicken I tried.

I saw that whilst perusing Aldi online. Tempted to buy one and make one of those fire pits you see in winter wonderland.

It cooks hot and fast, even when only using half the bowl. Don’t let the food stop moving

Handy too, that you can remove the wheels and have it hover, otherwise I’m not sure it’d stop the snails

I’ve found their smoker boxes aren’t all that great. Putting the wood on the coals is just as effective and costs less :?
