i presume the “box” behind the roll bars (they’re the seat backs looking again) is the fuel tank? that looks remarkably “whole” compared to everything around it!

Most of what was around it would’ve been fibreglass or fabric tbf.

Walking through town today, another non-AMG G Wagon (G350) and not black either. ETA with steelies?

I’ve seen 5 G wagon EVs this week. Only recognised by their green plate so there may be more that I’ve dismissed as non EV versions. Kind of surprised at their popularity but they’re also the perfect car for London.

Not sure about London, but I love driving the x5 around town, big mirrors and good visibility makes it strangely better than the smaller more responsive cars.

G wagens line the streets of certain areas of london, so an EV one that isn’t chucking out the pollution of a big V8 locally seems like the perfect solution. Then putting some new swanky trinkets and badges to show everyone you have the latest thing and a massive price tag and you have the perfect car for london.

Spotted today in Redditch: what I first thought was a modified Porsche 991 with a very wide body and longer than standard. But looking at the rear as it passed it looked more like the back of a 918. So I don’t know what it was.

Someone will like this old shitter, tbf - it was in very nice condition!
