They’ll surely end up in the teens eventually? I see more Emiras in a week in London than I see all the other Lotus models ever made in over a month. They must have already produced more of them than other Lotus ever?

I remember how much my Elise depreciated in 3 years. It would now be worth close to its new RRP. V6 manual Emiras must surely be desirable when all new cars are EVs? And they don’t actually make very many so surely they’ll be valuable in future?

Or are they simply not special enough… I’ll find out tomorrow.

35000 Elises were produced over 25 years, just over 6500 Evoras over 11 years, and they sold 3500 Emiras last year with a target of 6000 this year.. should certainly be more choices second hand, not so confident about future values

That wouldn’t be a bad one if I were buying. Though I’m not sure I could live with the colour of the interior.

I think Harry probably doesn’t consider it a long term keeper compared to things like the Countach so it might not simply be a victim of one-in, one-out.

Does Harry keep any of his new cars long term? Seems to move them on after a few years.

We're at that part of the year where we don't have night time. I don't what effect that might have on the idiom. Should he have shed some light, maybe the light he's shed is that he's got shot to shed weight in the shed

None of which are 'new' though right?

I think he still has his P7, P8 and Yaris though so maybe he didn't like the Lotus. Although the former 2 perhaps he has more of a connection with as he was personally involved with the project? I think the X5 and all the various Defenders and Range Rovers he leased.

Good point - I initially overlooked that as ‘new to Harry’s Garage’.

But yes, the Jaguar Projects 7 and 8 are probably there for the long term. I doubt the Yaris will be, though what would actually replace it so perhaps?

That's a very quick sale for an Emira in the current market. I guess the Harry association helped.

ETA: fuck me, some of the comments on that IG post theorising about what he's bought. It's obviously in stock if he's having it next week, but I can't see it being:
- A110 (not even an R)
- Cayman GT4
- Wells Vertige
- Litchfield M2
- Mercedes AMG GT

No idea what it could be, but it's got to be more special than the Emira to make sense.
