That looks fantastic dirty. Don’t wash it. Gorgeous.

Instead of adding spacers can you just remove those silly EU legislation spec plastic wheel arch extenders?

Mik’s going to be angry you’ve still not done an arch in the mirror pic……
That occurred to me too….

Yeah, that was a thought I had too. Might look at that tomorrow.

Rear wind looks great! Though I prefer the larger plate!

Car looks great.

Doesn’t look like it needs any spacers to me - front is of course more sensitive if you choose to add spacers as it increases the scrub radius (in saying this I added 6mm shins to the front of the 944S2 and couldn’t detect any difference).

Rear arches look great, but given all the other M3 specific panels it’s a bit of a shame they can’t be bothered to give it its own rear door skin

Permission to change my mind on the wheels requested. Looks bloody ace.

Those pics look like St Mary's Loch and the road down to Moffat? That is a great road as long as you miss the sheep! Car looks awesome though.
My Golf came from Peter Vardy and my experiences have been similar and still waiting for them to book it in for Haldex service (as per service schedule) in my local garage in my village which happens to be VW approved.

That looks stunning Mike, congrats. Personally not a fan of short plates, I think they make the plate stand out too much, but hey feel free to criticise my 100k car when I never buy one!
How do you find the wrap-around single display dash?

Personally not a fan of short plates
Weirdly I usually like a short front + full width rear plate.

I see Joe A has put 10mm spacers on his and a 20mm drop on the front wheels.. looks good

. It’s an incredible looking car already though

Jury is still out on the number plate. may switch back!
Tried the driving assistance at the weekend - the car steering and looking after speed on the motorway is a very surreal and unnerving experience.
@IanF - The front wheel arch gap is troubling me so I am going to look at a drop and spacers.
@Gavin - Yes, we ended up at St Mary's Loch. The B roads for the most part were really smooth apart from the last stretch after the loch and thankfully the sheep were nowhere on or near it.
@integrale_evo - I don't know what happened with the rear doors. I know it's one of those "once you see it.." things but in the flesh it doesn't bother me.
@tim - Screen is very bright, high res and although occasionally a wee bit laggy, its a lot better than any other one I've used. Wireless CarPlay is no longer laggy and looks good on the large screen. The shortcut for the climate menu is always on the screen, along with temp controls which after a week, I always find first time. I'd rather they were on physical buttons though.
Thankfully there's physical buttons on the steering wheel for changing info, selecting stuff on the HUD etc so that all works well. I'm already finding its just a case of tweaking settings as you go and then its all linked to your profile.

I don't think you will make any great difference to the front wheelarch gap unless you increase the front wheel size to 21" like the rears. And I'd be very reluctant to do that.
I really like the bigger rear wheels on it visually; makes it look quite Hot Wheels.

Looking lovely
@Ascender
I do think they need to be lowered though - the way the rear wheels fill the arches, but they fronts don't looks quite "wrong" to my eyes - almost like the fronts are the wrong wheels for the car

That's the most perfect description I've heard for it

I prefer short plates, over a plate with a lot of empty space. There is a Range Rover sport around here, with only 2 digits on its huge oversized rear plate and it just looks wrong. The plate is presumably worth a lot more than the car.

It depends on the size / shape of the recess, but generally I prefer seeing paint over yellow plastic. I usually have short rear but standard fronts. My e36 looked very bucktoothed with a shorter but standard height front plate. Mito looks a million times better from the front but I left a full size on the back.

I think that's part of the problem as my plate is only 5 letters long, so there's a load of wasted space on a normal one and on this one it's really short. Maybe there's an in-between size which will look good. I could even fill some of the space with a flag which would make me out to some as a crazy nationalist or something similar.
