Edge of the seat stuff after the safety car came in, great racing.

Cracking race that, and it was good to see Lewis back in hunting mode.
I'm surprised Gasly didn't get some sort of penalty for causing that 1st corner carnage. Trying to get his nose into a gap that was disappearing before he even got there.

I thought F1 controlled the tv feed, but I had seen replays of the crash from other stations from multiple cameras reposted on Instagram before it was shown on the c4 coverage.
Wonder if they’ll make any changes to fencing / escape lanes. Main problem was not the impact but the car being stuck sideways. Thank god there was no fire.
Some of the grandstand / spectator footage looked pretty frightening. It looks fine at first because it’s so far away, then just doesn’t loose any speed and keeps coming!

Great race. That Merc does look half decent in race trim now, so hopefully that will make things more interesting, seeing some Ferrari, RB, Merc three way fighting was amazing.
All that said, Max in the RB still looks like the fastest car in the field to me, and he has a comfortable lead in the WDC so I still expect him to win at a canter. Might see a good selection of race winners in the mean time though.

This puts me in a quandary. I want to see Porsche in F1, but I fucking detest Red Bull.

Would be amazing if they sacked Horner and put their own man in though.

If they got rid of Marko as well, I could maybe get behind that!

So much of all this. And hopefully someone who doesn’t have their tongue so far up max’s arse that a no.2 driver is actually given a fair chance

Can't say I'm very surprised. AM hasn't really managed to deliver for him.

Now that Seb is no longer at the front of the grid and appears to have become a thoroughly bloody nice bloke it will be a shame to see him go.

Does not really sit well in the upper echelons near to the best drivers in the history of F1 IMO (where his stats put him), but I guess it's more credit to him that he achieved that despite not quite having that level of talent. He was pretty ruthless in making the most of it.
A lot like Max, but Max has the talent to go with the ruthlessness.

Seb wasn't very good wheel to wheel (frankly neither is Max) but when he had the fastest car he'd stick it on pole and then go on win the race by not making any silly mistakes - something which Leclerc needs to learn.

I saw a stat the other day - Max has driven the most races for redbull of any driver (130). Seb got 4 championships out of the 115 (I think) races he did with redbull. Despite that I still don't think Seb is a particularly good driver - he's crap when he's anywhere else but out front.
