Yeah - apparently it rotted in a driveway after its term with evo, and was a bit of a shed when the current owner took it on. He had to fabricate and weld in new sills etc.

I’m concerned by Jobbo’s repeated turn of phrase. He’s trying to ram Willy down our throats.

Loads of attention/interest in Scott’s Alpine
I mean, he was crashing a Lotus party. Pretty racist, those Lotus people.

Looks much lower and wider than the Evora, yet about the same dimensionally. Exige looks 8-) but needs silver wheels, or at least, brighter.

I bet you’d love a Willy if you were offered a nice shiny one.

My mate bought a Willy of the 1944 variety a few weeks ago. Absolute POS.

About the same dimensionally. What's an inch between friends?

A small French Willy is honestly not my kinda thing, you've misunderstood me. I've never experienced one so I'll defer to your experience on such matters ! You've clearly tried one I assume ? Slid yourself into place, grasped it firmly with both hands, had a good ol' tustle ? I'd like to know. Your opinions have a lot of reach around here.

Things I much prefer:
a) German build
b) Rear drive

Would you like a larger Willy?

I’ve actually never had a go with a proper Willy, only similar alternatives to the real thing. Still great fun but I’m sure no substitute.

just passed a blue T50 Fancar in Knaphill, it didn’t look any better in real life… The front looks really low but lacking any “look”, the sides look bloated and the arse looks ungainly.

Yeah, the Exige looks great in that colour.

I've found myself becoming increasingly interested in Elans of that era too, that looks nice as well. Looks like a good meet!

While on a test drive after an auxiliary belt change, I drove past an RS200.

It was clearly intimidated by the mighty Clio as it did not give chase. The owner was wearing a headset and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it at Harvey Gibbs before.

Dave!

It was very clean. I asked him how long he had owned it... he rolled his eyes upwards as he counted in his head.... "49 years". He also has a race-prepped Elan of similar vintage in which he still does hill climbs.
