Saw my first Revuelto yesterday, in black. It’s EXACTLY how a Lamborghini should look 😎

New M5 Touring. Looked a big bag of meh, not special at all, which I guess is the point for some people but I’d take an RS6.

The local car meet usually throws up something I'm intrigued by. Last night the one that really got my attention was this Golf Country:

I don't know if I ever came across one before.

Directional tyres on spare wheels pain me. Aesthetically first, and there’s a 50% chance it’ll be wrong when you need it.

Apart from that it’s pretty cool.

I recall a test of the Lotus Excel SE by Fast Lane magazine in the highlands - clipped a rock and had to fit the spare. This meant one unidirectional rear facing the wrong way.

They only drive in the dry and said it made fook hall difference to the handling in those conditions.

Proof that it takes all sorts - this does nothing for me, but it’s clear the guy is both passionate and technically capable. Spending time “shaving the engine bay” doesn’t register on any list of anything I’ve ever wanted to do to a car, but <shrugs> fair play to them. :geek:

A GT3 RS rolled up to my local co-op and left. (well I guess it was an RS Reg 30 RR is not returning from the DVLA database)

It looked utterly ridiculous

Yeah the latest ones are a bit much in the metal aren't they. Completely out of place anywhere apart from at the track

I saw a 992 GT3 RS and a GT3 in Chipping Campden yesterday. They both looked amazing in a very pretty Cotswold village, but I'd still prefer a Touring because the rear wing is OTT for the road on either.

I saw a red 992 RS in town on Friday afternoon. Did not like.

Also an 812 Competizione, which I’d never heard of. Looked decent but I’ve always preferred the look of the standard V12 Ferraris instead of the GTOs etc.

ETA an E46 Alpina 3.3 cab in black on the M5. Wondered if it was Jobbo’s old one.

Mine was a 3.4 so probably not. I think it's still running though.

12C - lol, a Ferrari 12C (reg 12 HRO) driving through Farnborough.. black stripe across front makes it look wider at the front than back, not exactly good looking at any angle as it drove past (and the yellow gold paint looked crap.. ) AM ftw then

A tale of two Porkers...

Saw a lovely GT3 Touring in town at lunchtime and I wholeheartedly agree. That's much more like it...

I was out for a walk, listening to an old collecting cars podcast (in which Monkey has an M3T), pondering fast estates when I noticed I was walking past a sapphire black M5T - looked good tbh, and quite discreet: no I’m not sure how either, but I guess it’s because the 5-series is so bulky now and the paint colour helped? :? Anyway, 4.9% offer on them currently and with loyalty assist and motivated salespeople, it seems there are deals to be had..

Also, I was offered a new M4 with 16% off, even without haggling.. guess the new VED has reduced demand somewhat
Cheers,

Ian
