No doubt they'll want to push it in Max's favour. If I was Perez I'd not bother though. Neither have any points on the board, so it should be his to win, not to hand over to Max.

Fingers crossed they just let them race - with no points on the board it’d be pretty shit to deploy team orders at this point. But then we are looking at RB…..
It caused me way more delight than is reasonable when I saw The Stapp’s glum coupon explaining his 4the place on the grid.

Re: No F1 thread?
If I were in their shoes I’d hope Perez maintains the lead and then leave him out to act as a moving chicane, get Max to undercut the Ferraris and job jobbed.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
I guess Ferrari can also run an undercut by the same logic, it's going to be a race to see who blinks first.Mito Man wrote: Sun Mar 27, 2022 12:53 pm If I were in their shoes I’d hope Perez maintains the lead and then leave him out to act as a moving chicane, get Max to undercut the Ferraris and job jobbed.

I hope no one else comes off where Schumacher jnr did in q2 but I will be pleasantly surprised if 19 cars finish.

Re: No F1 thread?
Wouldn’t surprise me if someone does, I think a couple of others were pretty lucky in the same spot in qualifying.
Cheers, Harry

I think with these new ground effect cars they should just bin the kerbs on those high speed minimal run off corners. After all if the track limits are defined by the white lines… they’re no longer needed.

Re: No F1 thread?
Yeah he seemed a bit desperate to try and get Charles a penalty, right down to complaining about the harvesting lights not working.

Re: No F1 thread?
Nice to see more racing at the front. Shame Max came out on top.
Jenson was getting all excited about the rule changes at then end, but at the end of the day it was still just DRS overtaking for the most part. I'm still waiting for a revelation, but I guess it is a street circuit after all. Promising that Max said in the interview that you can get a good exit if you get to within half a second I suppose.

Quite an interesting race, with annoying result. Perez v unlucky. The impact of DRS seems to be pretty farcically huge now though. Is it stronger this year?

Quite a difference between wings at Aus so far. Merc have almost nothing on the rear, whilst Ferrari have gone for a fairly steep one!
