I've never really lusted after an Atom. Driving buddy ScottF had a supercharged Honda Atom3, so I have convoyed several times and had a good look around (one Jap tourist asked if it was aquatic.... ) Extremely quick, but talk of spikey handling, lack of lock to catch oversteers, and dead-feeling brake pedals always put me off.

But who wouldn't fancy the V8 they made? 8-)

I can't link to it directly, but see this page

yeah, it's full of "not quite right" details - the bonnet sticker, the high backed seats on a pillar less car, the weird vents ahead of the rear wheels, the bizarre fuel cap, etc... it could have been so much better if they'd just tried a little less hard!

I like the vents and seats

The red mirrors on the car pictured in the press pack are awful too though. Somehow the 340bhp engine and dogleg box would help me see past the stickers and fuel cap ;)

There's a weird mix of stuff on it. Like why stick a bunch of tat on it but not make any concession on getting some airflow into the Intercooler?

I'd get it if the car is low key but with that one just hang it out front full drifto style

The colour isn’t great, and that pre-dates capable-chassis Corvettes, without being old enough to excuse that fact. Which means it doesn’t appeal to me.

I bet it sounds bloody lovely though.

C4 Corvettes are just kind of cheesy. Only 230bhp, flaky electronic dash and the chassis rots under the fibreglass. It looks really cool in that silver and black though and as Speedingfine said the wheels are really cool.

I prefer the boxier G Body cars from 80s GM. Chevy Monte Carlo and Buick Grand National, that kind of thing.

The more I see Citroens of this type, the more I'm utterly blown away by their design. The front arrangement is a wee bit too fussy for my liking, but there's just something uncompromising about the overall vision.
