Well he can’t see it himself can he? He seemed genuinely confused about it yesterday - he even said he’s confused in the interviews after!

Hamilton significantly fastest in practise, and still faster than Ferrari when he’s on the slower tyre. Rumours are Ferrari have turned the engines down for reliability hence the gap. Quali and race could either be epic or a complete walk over barring any mistakes.

Reliability or have they got rid of their illegal battery due to a warning from the FIA behind closed doors?

DC pointed out Brawn had been to see them in the lead up to Singapore, since that race their aero had visibly changed and lacked a distinct vortex which had been present all year. That timed in with their drop in performance and struggle with their tyres. He basically put his money on Brawn having told them to pack something in within a certain time scale.

I don’t understand how us amateurs sat at home can look at Inters and go “too dry” but Ferrari’s highly paid strategists can’t.

Especially when rain is forecast for part way through Q3 at the earliest. Everyone knows the strategy is to get out there and do a banker lap ASAP whilst the place is dry and then change with the weather because the circuit is only going to get slower. I just don’t get what Ferrari where trying to achieve by pre-empting the change in conditions, it’s not a race situation where you could maybe gain a bit by getting into the pit lane before everyone else and bang in a few fast wet laps around on an empty circuit. You’ve always got until the last 4-3 minutes in quali to change tyres and get your flying lap started

They might have the quickest car but they’ve had the shoddiest driver and team for the last few races. Hopefully they’ll turn it around for the race tomorrow and give us some action. Vettel made a comment, “we don’t deserve to be 9th”, I’m sorry, but piss poor performance gets you piss poor results and those who did better as a team deserve to be higher than you. Maybe he thinks the WDC will just come on a plate like it did for him at RBR?

Ferrari screwed up the call on the tyres but Vettel didn’t do much better did he, he should have still qualified in front of Raikonnen but dropped the ball again.

As usual Mercedes and Hamilton seem to thrive under pressure and Ferrari just falter.

Yep, the tyres were a team balls up, but Seb still lost it on his first flying lap and could have been 3rd if he hadn't which is probably all he would have got out of it without the tyre issue.

It does amaze me that they seem to constantly balls up so many decisions which are so obvious to people with no more information or data than just sitting at home watching a standard to broadcast.

Poor tyre call, both drivers almost dropping it at Spoon. It’s almost like they’ve never seen iffy conditions before.

I'm no Vettel fan, but I imagine he means that their pace is better than 9th.

Well, think Ferrari need to have a long hard think about giving Vettel the sack now.
