Ah, OK. I was looking for it to be a joke. Also, I rarely bother to learn the names of the "performers" I watch, as I don't intend to speak to them

That reminds me of a Dave Gorman thing where some parents named Fiddler were asking for names for their baby on the way and someone suggested Adele.

I've just remembered that my mother-in-law has a friend called Mai Khalifa. It always makes me double take when I see it.

I've worked with Randy Miller, Randy Royalty and Rick O'Shey.
I was at Uni with a Greek girl called Fani. She didn't understand why we thought her name was amusing.

My aunt was named Fanny. Changed it when she moved to the US. A friend's wife is Israeli and the majority of English speakers pronounce her name "moron".
