Re: FAO Sunglass Aficionados
I'm looking for a screw for my Ray-Bans. One has disappeared. £10 for "kit" seems extortionate for one tiny screw, so trying my way around shops instead.

Seems like a fair trade - hope you some interest soon.

I think most hookers require payment in money, not spectacles.

Try jewellers and/or places like Timpsons too (as they do watch repairs)

That's what I'm doing, whenever I'm near one (and remember to bring the glasses) I ask.

When the cars got nicked I lost my Serrengetti glasses, I loved them for driving but rarely took them out the car to keep them pristine. I then couldn't find an actual shop to try any on so ended up with polarised Oakleys. They do sometimes get taken out the car but I have Goodr glasses for running and occasionaly cycling and they have also held up well.
I still have a pair of full metal jackets in a drawer with broken frame legs, never managed to send them off for free replacement frames, and I have a pair of polrised ray bans that my wife stood on years ago, that my dad repaired and found teh wee screws, but they are a bit scuffed so are rarely worn.

Serengeti's (Hinkley) just arrived (purchased from ShadeStation) : very light weight, grip my face gently but effectively (like the warm embrace from a beautiful lady? (c) FastShow), are crystal clear, and it's even sunny enough today that I can test the photochromic response. Keeping them.

Re: FAO Sunglass Aficionados
Potential public service announcement : I spotted these whilst I was looking - I didn't think they'd suit me, but I ordered them for mrs mik as a spare pair, and they just arrived.
Serengetis with photochromic lenses, plus a quality hard-case (including fast delivery) is an absolute steal at £30 .
edit: selling site states polarised lenses but I have just checked and they aren't : a quick sleuth reveals that these are 7628 model whereas the polarised versions were 7629.
edit2: now I've informed them, the selling site no longer states polarised. Move along now, nothing to see here.
were reduced to £60, now reduced further to £30)
