I saw one of those broken down on the hard shoulder of the M1 near Sheffield a few years ago. I assumed it was owned by the guy from Wakefield who also had an Enzo who was on Fifth Gear.
He looked a bit disappointed in his McLaren F1

The engine sounds fantastic, no argument there. It's not even "clinical" as I think that's a stupid criticism. I'm not saying it's bad, just that it doesn't stir me. Jay Leno himself talked about it being turbine smooth, relatively softly set up, pure design that quietly impresses etc. I prefer the stripped out, flame spitting, bucking bronco F40 or the UFO looks of the Countach. I've always said, if I ever drive one, I'm sure it would leave me dribbling but it wouldn't be my first choice to buy if I suddenly ended up becoming a billionaire.
So what you're saying is that it needs boost and lowering?
