The thread title also reminds me of recent conversations we've had with our near 3 year old. If we get cross or shout about something he now pipes up with "wha' happened, Daddee".

Obviously one principal source of us shouting is usually something he has done/broken/spilled, so we've taken with responding with "you happened, Freddie!" to which he then retorts "NO... you happened!"

The process of deflecting blame and denying responsibility clearly has already started. You've some fun times ahead, JL.
