If it is a busy toilet you can usually time it to catch it with your toe and let someone else touch the door! Or accept the fact most of us have probably licked less hygienic places than a toilet door in our 40odd years on the planet and most of us are still alive to tell the tale.

He’d throw a room of rugby players around like dolls but was terrified of the doctor.

Public toilets - sleeve over the hand technique or push the door at the top if you're not vertically challenged. Docs use both methods.
