It's like no one even remembers the Breakaway
The Great British Breakaway, changing channels yet not wanting people to come over the Channel.

Jeezus! Chocolate hobnobs are vastly superior to digestives. Next you people will be telling me you like rich tea biscuits, which should have been discontinued the minute nice tasting biscuits were invented.

I like the austerity of a rich tea. They’re also pretty awesome in chocolate form.

I just don't get old biscuits that don't actually taste nice, if I wanted to eat nostalgia I'd give Joan Collins a call.

Seems that the Scottish call chocolate bars "chocolate biscuits"

I love the Caramel Logs but you can't buy them in Englandshire (at least, this far south of the border), despite the wafers and teacakes being sold everywhere.
Can buy them here in the Suffolkshire. I prefer the Caramel Wafer though.

Oh, nice - in a chain shop? I’d like to seek some out.

Poundland!
Fairly sure I've seen them in either the bigger Sainsbury's or Tesco's around here too.

My essential bi-annual shop in Poundland involves 1000 dog poo bags and about 5 packs of Lotus biscuits.

I know they don't conform to your strict individually wrapped criteria (and shopping in M&S marks you out as a bit of a cunt), but these are all kinds of awesome

Their Belgian Chocolate Shortbread is also one of the world's greatest threats to my waistline
