Looking at it although it looks dramatic, I don't think they died. If you look carefully the 'explosion' didn't start from where they were but out one of the 'turrets' out the top of the tanker. A few seconds later you see someone in frame having a look at the back. If they were dead that wouldn't have been his reaction.

The end of the tanker has blown out, they are 100% dead and probably in many small pieces.

Have you guys watched the whole clip? They seem to be in one (potentially very dead) piece each, lying on the ground. It's the guy who wanders over for a shufty, seems to go "meh" and shuffles away again that raises the eyebrows. Either they're totally fine, which seems unlikely, or very dead and he just couldn't GAF. Odd.
