It’s from 2009/2010 - there were only W12s back then.

Did a couple hundred miles in it today Inc crawling through London to Chinatown. So nice. Relaxing, refined, punchy when needed. And did 45 mpg overall.
Mondeo is going on eBay tomorrow for £500 no reserve.

Wot Mik sed abov re IPA.
Dab it onto a cloth and gently wipe the buttons. It might just take off the top sticky layer, it might take it right back to bare plastic - which won't be ideal if the plastic underneath is white. Maybe try it on your least favourite buttons first.
Thanks chaps
Presumably also it may take off the icon on the button too. So I look like a pauper with no options. Sad face.
Alas IPA made my buttons even more melty. Good luck with yours Tim!
I found some non SS centred nail varnish removed, used a cotton bud and removed all trace of sticky buttons. The icon was on the plastic so it even looks exactly the same.
Dave!

Ohhh yeah, acetone in nail varnish remover would be better than IPA for sure.
When I worked in print we had a hierarchy of adhesive removal spirits and we'd always start with lighter fluid or IPA but acetone was the big gun for hard to move sticky stuff.

Back when I used to change the diesel filter on the golf, any diesel left in the filter cartridge went into a spray bottle, which I used to spray on tar and the nasty wheel weight foam adhesive.
It was pretty damn effective. I stopped short on trying it on the bits of soft touch plastic which went slightly sticky in the Golf though!

Looks lovely

nice purchase, what was the seller like? I'm a big fan of Fb marketplace for buying and selling stuff, but it can be a complete lottery.
That was my fear but he was really sound guy, and a biker too. Couldn't have been more helpful and took an offer without hesitation. He even drove it back to mine for me at 8pm last night.
or ... he couldn't wait to be rid
It looks reet, long may it continue. How many horsepowers is it? More, because S?
