Going slightly OT, did you know Airplane! is based almost scene-for-scene on a much earlier drama (not comedy) called Zero Hour! ?

I highly recommend searching it out on the high seas and watching it. It's brilliant and hilarious the number of lines taken practically verbatim into Airplane!

The whole car is quite rough.

Kerbed alloys, 9 year old tyres, paint looking like its rubbed off on the leading edge of some panels (unless that's polish residue).

Its not quite a Rev £8008 job but its not £15k. Whoever paid £19k for it got carried away. There look to be several decent 997 Carreras for sale for mid to low 20s. Like anything often people end up fighting over scraps at the low end and paying more than things are worth.

Yep, 11 owners and none of them wanted to sort the scabby ripped gear knob.

Wheels weren't just scruffy but bent too and the tyres were ancient and bald on the inside.

I might have paid 12ish for it, not 20.
