I remember driving an early Focus and to me it felt like a French hatch that was a bit more taught

Had a horrific interior though (IMO)

A friend of mine had an early ST170 and that was a cracking warm hatch - think it looked great too

So yes, I think the Focus was a revolution for Ford, but Peugeot, Citroen had been making great driving hatches for years before it came out (which isn't to take anything away from the Focus)

Speaking of significant cars, I saw an original Tesla roadster in Brighton at the weekend - think that's the first I've ever seen IRL/on the road

In terms of causing a seismic shift, surely Tesla is the most significant?

When he set out, Musk claimed that his goal was to prove that electric cars are viable and preferable to petrol (whether you believe he meant that or not is a moot point), but more than anything, I would say that the Tesla has caused more change in the industry/consumers, and therefore I'm going with that as my pick

Everything else is just variation on a theme...

Surely with the majority of ECOTYs being Porsches, the seismic shifts over the last 25 years would have been each launch of a new-gen 911?

Most significant driver's cars apparently. If it was just "cars" you'd have a compelling point.
