Anyway, it's not like I'm going to make any difference to it, I'll just have to stop bothering with it if it gets unbearably shit. I'm already less enthusiastic about the game than I used to be TBH.

Good example of why static pictures don’t effectively capture the actual event. That looks like they’re about to have a nice kiss awhilst the other chap is miming peeking around the corner! 😁

The same as watching things in ultra slow motion where everything looks a million times worse.

That's a brilliant photo to highlight how Curry had the opportunity for a show reel tackle rather than get sent off.

Timing is perfect as the Argie has barely hit the floor is on 1 leg and hasn't had the opportunity to brace. Daly's height is spot on, if Curry had hit at that height, ribs under the armpit he would have smashed him legally. If he doesn't dislodge the ball he's got Lawes eyeing for the jackal.

Itoje would be screaming like he's won the World Cup, slapping everyone on his way to embrace Curry like the champ he is. Could have been so different :D

Fingers crossed they are both ok and can continue in the tournament.

My son commented that Curry looked like Sloth from the Goonies after being stitched up and swollen

So I was really pleased to see him put in such a stellar performance, in general the team looked solid, but as above Argentina flattered them.
I'm with you on that.

Minor bit of bragging - my mum used to have a florist shop in Oldham, and Mike Ford came.in to order flowers for his wife when George was born. Me and my dad delivered them.

I didn’t see it but there was another one in the Scotland South Africa that wasn’t given.

Be interested to see it because there MUST be consistency on this

Edit - here it is… vid about half way down.

If I was Scottish… or English for that matter, I’d be seething…

Yep, no consistency whatsoever. There was also a Finn Russell no arms tackle that they looked at and I can't work out how there was no card. If Farrell did that, it'd be a red card and 100 year ban, possibly a public hanging.

Back to the rugby, great first half from Scotland. They even had the SA going backwards in the scrum!

SA just had too much for them in the second half, which was a real shame.

Yep.. Wales are going to have a few guys not at 100% for a while after being run over by the Fijians!.. love Fiji’s passion and mentality.

This will be a game of attrition!

But, as I say with every single tournament - never write Wales off...

ETA - loved Dan Biggars fury at the end of the 1st half with his teammates :D

Further ETA - Liam Williams pick up and Josh Adams tackle. Oooft

Another belter of a game, I was expecting a boring dont play in your own half and set piece game from Wales but Fiji just suck you into 7's style running rugby 😎

Delighted for Fiji.

Looked to me like an obvious no arms tackle went unpunished at a crucial time though. I'm just so confused about the rules.

Really love it when the Aussies lose.. Fiji were immense.

England definitely been dealt with harshly having watched other tacklers let off with lesser sanctions

Fiji need to get better at attacking line outs of they want to achieve more in the tournament though. Just like Scotland the other day. So much attacking play is built off a reliable line outs, very hard to win if you keep losing them.
