That’s a very cool first car, I did think about buying it for my daughter (and me this summer

I did a double take, I missed "pcm" on first reading.
I guess I'm not surprised given that it's a huge racketMcSwede wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:26 pmApparently, someone asking for TPF&T is seen as more of a risk than someone being sensible and going FC.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 6:08 pmWow.Carlos wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 3:39 pm My daughter paid £1,500 for her Mito at 17 and that's pretty much the minimum as her mates have paid similar for a Polo/Citroen C1 and just paid £2,850 for her GT86 at 18. Does Third Party still exist these days and if so does it save much? I wonder if you'd be better piling any savings from TP to one side to cover any losses. Especially if your insurance costs are more than the car's worth.
First time car insurance is a strange thing. Something “old man” like a v8 rover 75 would probably have been cheaper than the fiesta, as the insurance company probably think the fiesta is expected to be on its roof in a field after a fortnight.Zonda_ wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 5:20 pm I think they could be in for a shock when they get a quote to insure it in fact I doubt he'll get insure certainly with the mainstream companies. My nephew had a quote for a 15 year old Fiesta 1.4 last year and that was £4k.
