I'd be asking for my premium back for the wheel insurance in that case. These extras are just a cash cow for dealers - my stepson makes far more commission out of selling this sort of crap than he does selling the actual car. If they don't even do what they are bought for, that's utter carp and should warrant an FCA investigation

Disclaimer: I would never take out the extras, with the exception of GAP insurance (and only when I've already compared prices beforehand).

Had a quick look at residuals, about as good as any other EV. On the bright side they're going for £20k off list

Good memory - yes, I was, for return to invoice GAP. The reason being that you’re insuring something more than you have, so it’s in your interest to write off your car just before the GAP expires to get a brand new one rather than the value of a 3-4yr old one when trading in.

But I’m in favour of insuring the balance of your finance if the value of the car is less than the outstanding finance. And since return to invoice GAP is only slightly more expensive then I’ve reluctantly bought it a few times. Those being when I’ve bought a car which I think will depreciate like a stone - my S6 and the Cayenne for instance. For a few hundred quid I think it’s worth being paid out the full RRP of each rather than the current value if the worst should happen; we are intending to keep them both for the long term. Of course, GAP does have a fixed period so if they are written off at over 4 years old we’ve seriously lost out compared to up to their 4th birthdays
Probably worth driving them very badly for a year when they’re past their first MOT then!

Saw one parked next to an Urus.. it’s lower, longer with similar width. Not sure which was better looking!

Saw an Eletre being given the beans earlier. It certainly shifted for something that big.

I had an Evija come hoofing past me as I was leaving Hethel earlier. Certainly has presence being low and wide. Still don't know why anyone would buy one over the competition tho.

The back end looks odd, we have 3 in the town, a yellow, a green which is a cracking goldy green and another yellow. All just look out of proportion and a bit shit.

I’m assuming big tax benefits to having one on a company or something ? It’s not my world but weren’t Taycans etc incredibly beneficial for tax purposes for company director types ?
